Afterschool and Summer Tutors:
Assist with the implementation of the Mathematics Block.
Work with the Program Coordinator to plan and/or implement an established plan for appropriate activities during mathematics programming Implement mathematics routines, hands-on mathematics activities, games, and/or basic fact fluency-building activities during the afterschool and summer programs Participate in all trainings related to the school-aged programs component area you will be implementing Assist with organizing and maintaining mathematics manipulatives and preparing materials for activities, as needed Work with Program Coordinator to plan mathematics activities that you will be implementing, as needed Incorporate one hour of planning time into weekly schedule to prepare for programming Address individual children's needs under the guidance of the Program Coordinator Assist in administering pre- and post-STAR Mathematics(TM), unit, and other assessments, as appropriate Submit group attendance to the Program Coordinator as designated by program policy Lead administering pre- and post- assessments including, STAR Mathematics(TM), and identifying students in need of interventions, as appropriate Work with identified children struggling in mathematics in grades K-6 who would benefit from small group assistance in mathematics Participate in all trainings related to the components of the in-school support you will be implementing Submit group attendance to the Program Coordinator as designated by program policy In-School tutors:
Assist in the implementation of in-school direct services.
Work with identified struggling math children in grades K-6 who would benefit from small group assistance Participate in all trainings related to the components of the in-school support you will be implementing Assist in administering pre- and post-STAR Math(TM), STAR Early Literacy(TM) assessments and math unit assessments, as appropriate Submit group attendance to the Program Coordinator as designated by program policy Recommended Skills Assessments Literacy Mathematics Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
